Our University Admissions Counseling Services
After getting to know the student and their family and gaining a clear understanding of their interests, goals and needs, we will establish a plan to guide them through the college selection and admission process.
We create personalized plans designated for students between 9th and 12th grade who plan on applying to universities in the US, Canada, Europe and/or the UK.
Our services include, but are not limited to:
High School Planning
• Assist with high school curriculum choice
• Provide extracurricular and summer activity recommendations
College Selection
• Create a personalized college list based on student’s academic, social, financial and geographical preferences and needs
• Provide information on and comparison of selected colleges/universities
Application
• Create an application timeline and list of materials needed based on chosen universities
• Help with timely completion of tasks
• Review final applications
Essays and Personal Statements
• Assist with brainstorming essay topics and personal statement structure
• Provide essay feedback and support editing of drafts
Interviews
• Provide preparation and tips for admissions interviews
Standardized Tests
• Create testing and preparation plan
• Provide self-paced online ACT and SAT preparation program
Financial Aid
• Provide overview of financial aid process
• Help family with completion of financial aid forms
• Assist with scholarship search and applications
Campus Visits
• Help plan visits when applicable
• Organize meetings with current students, alumni and/or admissions representatives at the schools
Acceptance Decision
• Review acceptance offers and financial aid packages
• Advise on offers of waitlist, deferral or alternative semester programs
• Assist with preparation and planning post acceptance
International Applicants
• Provide overview of visa application process
• Help with finding accommodation
• Assist with English proficiency (TOEFL/IELTS/DUOLINGO) test plans
• Advise on proof of language proficiency options
• Help obtain health insurance (in Germany only)
